What makes a box worth the packaging
Coherence. Three things that belong together beat six that do not, and the box reads as considered rather than as a clearance of whatever was in stock. The common failure is padding the count to hit a price, which the person opening it can see immediately.
Branding the box or the contents
Both is usually too much. A quietly branded box with unbranded good contents reads better than the reverse, and a branded piece of apparel inside does the work that a printed carton cannot. Decide which one carries the mark before the artwork goes anywhere.
