What should I know about custom polos?
The short guide.
The collar is the whole garment
A polo is judged on whether the collar still stands after it has been washed thirty times. That comes down to the knit of the collar and how it is attached, not to the body of the shirt. It is also the single most common failure in cheap corporate polos, and the reason staff stop wearing them.
Embroidery or print on a polo
Embroidery, almost always. Pique is textured, so a print sits on an uneven surface and shows it. Thread does not care about the texture and reads as considered on a collared garment. Print is the right answer only when the artwork has colour or detail that thread cannot resolve.
Where tipping changes things
A contrast stripe at the collar edge and cuff is what separates a branded polo from a blank with a logo on it. It costs more and it takes longer, and it is the detail that makes team wear look designed rather than ordered.

Can each polo carry a different name?
Yes. Names and initials can change on every piece. Send the list with the size for each person.
How much do custom polo shirts cost?
It depends on the pique, the embroidery size and the count. Build your polo online for an exact price, or send the logo and the count for a team quote with a mockup.
Should staff wear polos or t-shirts?
Polos for anything client-facing or in a store, because the collar reads as uniform. T-shirts for events, offsites and the team photo, where comfort and a bigger print matter more.
Embroidery or printing on polo shirts?
Embroidery. Pique knit is textured, so prints sit unevenly, while thread reads correctly on a collared garment.
What is polo tipping?
