Weight is the whole decision
A thin tote is a carrier bag with a logo on it and it goes in a drawer. A heavier canvas tote gets used for shopping and for carrying a laptop, which is the only outcome worth paying for. If you are choosing between a thin tote for everyone and a good one for half the list, choose the good one.
Printing large
A tote is the biggest flat surface in most gifting orders, so artwork that is lost on a chest print has room here. Screen printing is usual at quantity. DTF handles full colour on smaller runs and on canvas that screen ink sits badly on.
