What should I know about custom sweatshirts?
The short guide.
Sweatshirt or hoodie
A hoodie is casual by design: the hood bunches under a jacket and does not suit a client meeting. A crew neck sweatshirt reads a step smarter and layers over a collared shirt, which is why it is the usual choice for office gifting and client-facing teams. For colleges, clubs and anyone who will wear it on a cold morning outdoors, the hood earns its place.
Brushed fleece or loopback
Brushed fleece, soft and raised on the inside, is the warmer option and the right one for a north Indian winter or an office where the air conditioning never stops. Loopback terry, flat loops on the inside, is lighter and breathes, which suits Bengaluru and Chennai evenings better. The quote says which cloth it is based on, so the choice is made rather than assumed.
Where the design goes
Left chest embroidery is the corporate default and the one people wear at weekends. Centre chest takes a larger printed graphic, and the sleeve takes a year, a line or a second logo. The ribbed neck, cuffs and hem are not print areas, so artwork that runs to the edge of the body stops short of them.
