What should I know about polo t-shirts with tipping?

What tipping is
A narrow band of a second colour knitted into the outer edge of the collar and the cuff. Because it is part of the knit rather than applied afterwards, it wears at the same rate as the rest of the garment and cannot come away. It is the standard detail on better polos and the one most corporate orders do not know to ask for.
Choosing the colours
The usual mistake is matching the tipping to the logo, which makes the logo compete with the collar. A tipping colour drawn from the brand but a step quieter than the mark reads better, and it lets the embroidery stay the thing people look at.

What does double tipping look like?
Two contrast stripes at the edge of the collar and cuff, with the body colour between them, where standard tipping is one. Two stripes read sportier, one reads quieter, and both can be tried in the polo builder.
Can a tipped polo carry our logo and each person's name?
Yes. The tipping is part of the collar, and the logo and a name per person are embroidered on the chest as usual, from one list of names and sizes.
