What should I know about brand colour t-shirts?
The short guide.
When a core colour is close enough
If your brand colour is a navy, black, white, maroon or bottle green, a core colour usually reads as yours on a shirt, and it starts at one piece. Hold the logo against the cloth at a Merch Lab before you decide: a colour that looks right on a screen can look different in cotton. Extended and Pantone colours are for the shades stock cloth does not reach, the particular teal, the brand orange, the purple that is the whole identity.
How a Pantone match works
Send the Pantone reference from your brand guide, not a hex code from a screen, because screens differ and a Pantone is the same everywhere. The cloth is dyed to that reference for your order, and the whole order comes from the same dye lot, so every shirt in it matches. Cotton takes dye differently from the coated paper of a Pantone chip, which is why the colour is approved on the mockup before the run.
What it costs
The garment is the Classic Crewneck: ₹325 + GST a piece at 50 to 99 and ₹295 from 100, before the print. A small chest print adds ₹35 to ₹40. The dyed colour adds a per-piece charge on top, which the quote shows with the date before you pay. GST and shipping are added at checkout.
Your colour on a smaller order
Under 75 pieces, put the brand colour where nothing needs dyeing: a core colour body with a contrast neck rib, sleeves or cuffs, or the logo printed in your colours. That is a colour block t-shirt, and it starts at one piece. Each dyed colour has its own minimum per order, so collect new joiners' sizes and run them together rather than one at a time.
