What a dry fit t-shirt actually is
Dry fit is the everyday name for a polyester knit that pulls sweat off the skin and dries quickly. Cotton does the opposite: it soaks sweat up, gets heavy and stays wet. Whether a buyer searches for dry fit, dri fit or a sports tee, the cloth underneath is polyester, and that is what both of ours are made from.
Why polyester changes how the logo goes on
Sublimation only works on polyester. The ink turns to gas under heat and dyes the fibre, so a logo, a stripe or a whole body colour becomes part of the shirt and cannot crack or peel. It cannot print white, so the round neck tee starts white and every colour on it is dyed, which is also why any body colour is possible. The Active Polo comes in dyed colours already, so its logo is a DTF print or embroidery instead.
Sports days against everyday wear
A company sports day wants one colour per team and a number or a name on the back, and that is the round neck tee. Field staff, delivery teams, coaches and anyone who wears the shirt to work every day are better in the Active Polo: the collar reads as a uniform, the forward shoulder moves freely, and the UPF 50+ treatment counts in the afternoon sun.
Washing a polyester tee
Wash it cold, at 30°C or below, inside out, and skip the fabric softener: softener coats the fibres and stops the moisture-wicking finish working. Line dry in the shade and keep the iron off the print. Polyester dries in a fraction of the time cotton takes, so a shirt washed at night is ready by the morning.
