What actually changes in an oversized cut?
Three things, all in the pattern.
- The shoulder. On a regular t-shirt the shoulder seam sits on the point of your shoulder. On an oversized one it sits further down the arm. That dropped shoulder is what creates the silhouette.
- The body. Wider through the chest and the hem, so the shirt falls straight down rather than following you.
- The length. Shorter in proportion to the width, so it reads boxy rather than long.
Sizing a regular t-shirt up gets you none of this. It gets you a longer shirt with the shoulder seam halfway to the elbow and sleeves past where they should end.
How does our regular fit measure?
Our regular fit adult t-shirts share one chart, measured on the garment laid flat, in inches, with a half inch tolerance either way:
| Size | Chest | Length | Shoulder |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 36 | 26 | 16 |
| S | 38 | 27 | 16.5 |
| M | 40 | 28 | 17 |
| L | 42 | 29 | 18 |
| XL | 44 | 30 | 19 |
| 2XL | 46 | 31 | 20 |
| 3XL | 48 | 32 | 21 |
The chest is the garment's, around: a 40 inch chest fits a body of about 38 to 39 inches with room to move. 4XL and 5XL are made in the same cut; their rows are added to the chart as they are measured.
The oversized cuts are not sized against this chart. They are cut wider on purpose, and the shoulder measures wider because it is dropped.
Which size should I order?
Regular fit: measure a t-shirt you already wear and like, flat, across the chest one inch below the armhole, and double it. Match that number to the chest column. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
Oversized: your usual size. The extra room is already in the cut. Sizing up on top of it gives you something closer to a dress. If you want the oversized look but a little closer to the body, take one size down.
For a group: do not mix the two in one design and expect them to match. A back print sits differently on each, and the team photo shows it. Choose one cut for the order, or two clearly different designs.
How are the fabrics different?
| Classic Crewneck | Classic Oversized | Signature Oversized | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fit | Regular | Oversized | Oversized |
| Fabric | 100% combed cotton, 30s | 100% combed cotton, 20s | 100% combed cotton, 50s |
| Knit | Single jersey | Single jersey | Interlock |
| Weight | 180 GSM | 220 GSM | 220 GSM |
| Price, 1 to 9 pcs | ₹415 | ₹560 | ₹700 |
| Price, 100+ pcs | ₹295 | ₹400 | ₹500 |
The oversized cuts use a heavier cloth on purpose. A boxy cut in a light fabric collapses and clings; at 220 GSM it holds the shape the cut depends on. The Signature Crewneck, our heavier regular fit, is 220 GSM interlock at ₹570. Prices are per piece before GST, with the print added.
What changes for the print?
The places are the same on both: front, back and each sleeve, and the print sizes are the same, A6 to A3. What changes is how a print looks on the shirt.
- A back print looks smaller on an oversized tee. The same A3 print, up to 29.7 by 42 cm, covers less of a wider body. That is why oversized tees are where people put their biggest back designs.
- The sleeve print moves. With a dropped shoulder, the sleeve starts lower down the arm, so a sleeve mark sits lower than on a regular tee. The mockup shows exactly where.
Which suits which buyer?
- Office, client days, a team that wants one shirt for everyone: regular fit. It suits every body type in a group and looks neat with a chest logo.
- College drops, creator merch, streetwear designs, a big back print: oversized.
- A mixed group with very different tastes: regular fit for the main order, with the oversized offered as an upgrade for the people who want it, as its own design.
For how cloth weight changes the feel, see what GSM means. For how the print positions work on any tee, see where to put a logo on a t-shirt. The wider choice of cotton, polyester and blends is in choosing t-shirt fabric.

Quick answers
Is an oversized t-shirt just a bigger size?
No. It is a separate cut with a dropped shoulder, a wider body and a shorter length for its width. A regular t-shirt sized up is longer and baggier but does not hang the same way.
Should I size up or down in an oversized t-shirt?
Order your usual size; the extra room is in the cut. Size down if you want it a little closer to the body. Do not size up.
What is a drop shoulder t-shirt?
A t-shirt whose shoulder seam sits down the arm instead of on the point of the shoulder. It is what gives an oversized tee its relaxed shape.
Why are oversized t-shirts heavier?
The boxy cut needs a fabric with body to hold its shape. Our oversized tees are 220 GSM combed cotton; our Classic Crewneck is 180 GSM.
Do oversized and regular t-shirts take the same print sizes?
Yes, A6 to A3 on the front, back and sleeves. The same print looks smaller on the wider oversized body, which is why it suits large back designs.
